Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I hope this is the beginning of your journey to recovery.
I am a qualified Trauma, Addictions and Re-parenting Therapist trained to MSc standard. I previously had a career in the private sector of law - spanning across two decades, working for one of the world’s most influential media, defamation, libel and human rights lawyers. Through this professional legal work and as a result of an increasingly human-rights orientated and socially aware case-load, I came to realise there were unmet needs in the community which gave rise to personal assessment of how best to contribute to society. After careful consideration, I embarked on a certificate in Counselling and Counselling Skills at The University of London and was subsequently invited to join the MSc in Addiction Psychology and Counselling at London South Bank University, graduating with Merit. It was here I researched The Psychology of Tattoo Acquisition in terms of a 21st Century Addictive Behaviour.
In addition to practising Addiction Psychology and Counselling I am also trained in Brainspotting, a relatively new form of treatment that taps into the body’s innate ability to heal in order to reduce and eliminate the impact of unresolved trauma negative beliefs and emotional distress. Other training and specialisations include: Anger, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Disordered Eating and Eating Disorders, Love Addiction and Love Avoidance, Sex Addiction, Shame, Trauma Reduction and Re-parenting.
I went on to train and subsequently graduate at a leading private non-residential treatment centre on Harley Street, initially as a Trainee Therapist, progressing to Group Co-facilitator, Lead-facilitator, 1:1 Therapist and finally Aftercare Coordinator, acquiring a wide range of experience across the centre's various disciplines, including Aftercare, After Hours Programme, Drug and Alcohol Testing, Family Group, Intensive Out-Patient Programme, Trauma Reduction Aftercare, Trauma Related Dissociation Group, Tertiary and workshops on Anger, Shame and Trauma Reduction.
I now run a discreet private practice in Central London that includes individual and group therapeutic settings and workshops. If you would like to discuss support for yourself or in conjunction with a loved one then please do not hesitate to contact me in confidence at confidential@taraday.co.uk or telephone 07956 540 065, during business hours.
